Getting ready for Christmas!

I love Christmastime, I really do. December is a stressful month because we have so much going on, but I truly do love the season. The best part? In the evening, after the kids go to bed, I can sit in my dark living room and look at my pretty Christmas tree, all lit up. Each ornament has sentimental value, and many of them have been passed down through generations in our families. For some reason, it just makes every day seem a little more special. Once it's time to take the tree down, I get a little depressed. The post-holiday slump, I guess.

The kids enjoy helping to decorate the tree a lot. Of course, 90% of the ornaments end up clumped together at the front of the tree, near the bottom, but it's okay. It's all in the spirit of the holiday.

"We have to make sure we get some in the back, too, Mom!"

You'll notice the ornaments are clustering in the front center.

Zoe took forever to hang a single ornament.
She was very concerned about placement.

It was so nice once the tree was up and decorated. I suppose we could leave it up year-round, but I need the space in my living room!

Anna couldn't help decorate this year, but she sure looked cute sitting in front of the tree!
