Almost, not quite.

Anna is working hard on a new skill. Rolling. This is a tough one for her.

Babies traditionally roll front to back first, as they spend more time on their tummies, develop their neck muscles and learn to push up with their arms. Our sweet little Anna is LAZY. At first I was concerned that she was having developmental problems, because she would not lift her head while she was on her belly, no matter what I tried. Well, since then, we've confirmed that she can do it, she just won't. Her tummy time exercises consist of just laying there and licking the floor. Nice.

Anyway, she won't be rolling front to back anytime soon, and she's decided to do things the hard way. She's going to roll back to front first. (As I write this, these photos are already several weeks old, and she's actually rolled a couple of times. I'm just waaaay behind.)

"Hmm...that carpet sure looks interesting.
Wonder how it tastes?"

"Um, whoa! Hello? Did I mean to do that?"

"Okay, um...I'm stuck! My arm! Help! MOM!!"

Yeah, well. It's a learning process, you know. She loves to lay on her side, so I'm sure we'll get more rolling as the weeks go by. Stay tuned for updates on laziness.
